The Emergency Department of Wudang Mountain Hospital of Taihe Hospital is a clinical department mainly responsible for various emergency, critical, and initial medical treatment in the hospital. It is a comprehensive department that integrates pre hospital emergency and in hospital treatment. For many years, the emergency department has adhered to the tenet of "time is life, and responsibility is more important than Mount Tai". Our work style is based on a solid theoretical foundation, excellent first aid techniques, meticulous observation of the condition, accurate diagnosis and treatment, and considerate medical services. We have achieved remarkable results in rescuing critically ill patients, especially those with major difficulties. At the onset of each holiday, the emergency department becomes one of the departments with the most concentrated number of patients in the hospital. To ensure the safe and orderly implementation of various emergency work during the May Day period in 2023, and to ensure sufficient allocation of emergency resources, the department conducted a self examination of pre hospital emergency work on April 26th as the holiday approached. Director Li Jinyuan led the head nurse, ambulance team captain, and duty nurses to participate in this examination.
In terms of ambulance management, the fleet can strictly follow the regulations of the hospital's ambulance vehicle management system and obey the management of the city's 120 emergency command center and the emergency department of the hospital. Ambulance drivers regularly inspect and maintain their vehicles, as well as clean and disinfect them, to ensure good condition and safe driving. The ambulance is in good hygiene and medical waste is placed according to regulations. The two ambulances have a relatively long lifespan and average condition, so it is necessary to prepare for their scrapping in advance. The ambulance driver can leave the vehicle in a timely manner within 3 minutes upon receiving a police report. The vehicle identification is clear and standardized.
In terms of pre hospital emergency personnel training, emergency personnel receive regular training, such as major injury screening and classification procedures, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, collective food poisoning, unexpected disasters, and emergency drills. There are emergency plans, learning records, and emergency drill content to assess the familiarity of medical personnel with emergency drill content. All members pass the exam and have a 100% awareness rate.
In terms of network maintenance and terminal equipment usage, the 120 network operates smoothly. The pre hospital emergency medical record should be written in a standardized manner and signed in a timely manner. If there are some cases of missing signatures, timely signatures should be urged.
This inspection also focused on checking whether the rescue drugs and consumables are complete, within the validity period, whether the rescue equipment is in good condition and in standby state, whether the allocation of duty personnel in each emergency area is reasonable, and whether the fire safety passage is unobstructed. On site, detailed records were made of the discovered problems or potential problems, and they were improved, supplemented, and reported according to the procedures. In response to possible emergencies, the completeness of the corresponding emergency plan and the awareness of relevant personnel were verified again.
