The aim is to emphasize the promotion of hand hygiene and to strengthen the hand hygiene of medical staff in the process of medical care, in order to reduce the occurrence of iatrogenic infections. On the morning of May 5th, the birthday celebration for the hand guards in the Wudang Mountain Campus of Taihe Hospital was officially launched.

The electronic display screen in the outpatient hall is scrolling with promotional videos of the World Hand Hygiene Birthday. Prominent posters and display boards of "World Hand Hygiene Birthday" are placed in prominent positions in the hospital to widely promote hand hygiene knowledge and create a strong hand hygiene promotion atmosphere throughout the hospital.

At 9 a.m., a ceremony was held at the main entrance of the hospital to confer the badge of the hand hygiene ambassador. The ceremony was presided over by Liu Rongjun, Vice President of Wudang Mountain Hospital of Taihe Hospital, and the relevant leaders of the hospital issued badges to 36 hand hygiene ambassadors. The representative of the Hand Hygiene Ambassador, Ji Ke, delivered a presentation on the theme of the event, advocating for medical staff to integrate hand hygiene into the diagnosis, treatment, and nursing procedures, and leading all on-site personnel to demonstrate the seven part washing techniques. Subsequently, Executive Director Zeng Shaobo took the lead in signing on the hand hygiene commitment display board, and on-site personnel signed and promised to consciously abide by hand hygiene standards in their work.
